Genshin Impact 6.2 Phase 2 Banners: Varesa & Xilonen Rerun Hype! (Plus Where to Get Discounted Top Ups)

Are your Primogems safe, or did Durin and Venti drain your stash during Phase 1? If you’re like me, you’ve probably been grinding every chest in Nod-Krai just to scrape by. But hold onto your hats (and your wallets), because Genshin Impact Phase 2 of Version 6.2 drops next week, December 23, and it is absolutely stacked.

We are finally getting the highly anticipated first rerun of the "Luchador Queen" of the Collective of Plenty, Varesa, alongside a rerun of the undisputed best Geo support in the game, Xilonen.

Whether you’re looking to grab the Electro DPS you missed back in Version 5.5 or you skipped the roller-blading Geo mommy the first time around, this banner is going to be sulit. Let’s break down everything you need to know about the upcoming banners, the meta implications, and of course, how to get those pulls without spending your entire holiday aguinaldo.

5-Star Rerun: Varesa (Electro Catalyst)

She's back! Varesa is crashing back into the roster with all the subtlety of a lightning bolt. If you missed her debut earlier this year, you likely know her as the laid-back orchard manager who loves competitive eating (80 servings of Blazed Meat Stew? Legendary behavior). But on the battlefield, she’s a beast who introduced a whole new way to play Electro.

The Kit: Lucha Libre Style

Varesa is an Electro Plunge DPS who uses a Catalyst, but she doesn’t play like your typical mage. She’s a brawler. Her gameplay loop revolves around her Elemental Skill, which allows her to enter the "Nightsoul’s Blessing" state.

  1. Sudden Onrush Mode - In this state, she gains incredible mobility. She doesn't just run; she leaps. This makes her one of the best exploration units in Natlan, capable of traversing liquid Phlogiston and scaling cliffs with ease.
  2. Combat Mechanics - Her attacks become heavy, impactful plunges. Think lucha libre wrestling moves mixed with thunder. She slams down from the air, dealing massive AoE Electro damage. Unlike Xiao, who relies heavily on his Burst for uptime, Varesa’s damage comes from her skill-based stance, though her Burst is crucial for extending her "Fiery Passion" state which buffs her plunges even further.

Why Pull for Varesa Now?

When Varesa first released in 5.5, she was strong but lacked a few perfect teammates. Now, in 6.2, the meta has shifted in her favor.

  1. Iansan Synergy: The recently released Iansan is an incredible buffer for Natlan DPS units, and she works perfectly with Varesa to keep her energy up and damage high.
  2. Chevreuse Overload: If you aren't playing Plunge, Varesa is actually a top-tier driver for Chevreuse Overload teams. The constant Electro application allows for non-stop explosions.
  3. The "Fun" Factor: Honestly, bouncing around the map and elbow-dropping enemies never gets old. If you are bored of the standard "circle impact" gameplay, Varesa feels fresh.

Varesa Build Mini-Guide

  1. Best Artifacts: Obsidian Codex (4-piece) is her general best-in-slot, giving her a massive Crit Rate boost while in her Nightsoul state.
  2. Weapons: Her signature Vivid Notions is a massive stat stick, but she uses The Widsith (R5) very well if you are F2P.
  3. Best Teams:
  4. Premium Plunge: Varesa + Xianyun + Furina + Iansan.
  5. Budget Overload: Varesa + Chevreuse + Bennett + Xiangling (or Mavuika if you have her).

Rerun: Xilonen (5-Star Geo Sword)

If you skipped Xilonen back in Version 5.1, do not make that mistake again. I cannot stress this enough, mga lodi. Xilonen is widely considered one of the best supports in the modern meta—basically the "Kazuha that heals," but for nearly every element.

Why She’s Tier 0

Xilonen is a universal support who shreds enemy Elemental RES based on your teammates' elements (Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, or Electro).

  1. RES Shred: Simply by existing and using her Skill, she reduces enemy resistance to the elements in your party. This makes everyone hit significantly harder.
  2. Healing: Her Elemental Burst provides consistent, high-tick healing, keeping your team alive in the Abyss without needing a dedicated healer slot.
  3. Exploration God: Her Elemental Skill puts her on rollerblades. Not only does this look cool, but it makes climbing walls in Natlan (and everywhere else) incredibly fast. She can literally skate up vertical surfaces.

The C2 Power Spike

While Xilonen is amazing at C0, her Constellation 2 (Chiucue Mix) is arguably the most "broken" constellation in the game right now. It grants massive buffs to the team based on their element:

  1. Geo Teammates: +50% DMG Bonus.
  2. Pyro Teammates: +45% ATK.
  3. Hydro Teammates: +45% Max HP (Yelan and Furina mains, this is for you!).
  4. Cryo Teammates: +60% CRIT DMG.
  5. Electro Teammates: Restores 25 Energy and decreases Burst Cooldown by 6 seconds.

Note: That Electro buff is insane for Varesa, allowing her to rotate much faster!

Xilonen Build Mini-Guide

  1. Best Artifacts: Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City (4-piece). This set was practically made for her, granting a massive Elemental DMG bonus to the team after she triggers a reaction.
  2. Stats: Go full DEF% on Sands, Goblet, and Circlet. She scales entirely off Defense. You want as much DEF as possible to maximize her healing and buffs. Aim for 160-180% Energy Recharge to keep her Burst ready.

Weapon Banner: Vivid Notions & Peak Patrol Song

The weapon banner this time around is a win-win situation if you play either of these characters.

  1. Vivid Notions (5-Star Catalyst): Varesa’s signature. It provides high Crit DMG and boosts Plunge damage. It’s a significant upgrade over 4-star options.
  2. Peak Patrol Song (5-Star Sword): Xilonen’s signature. It’s a massive DEF stat stick that buffs the whole team’s Elemental DMG.

Verdict: If you main Varesa, get her weapon. If you use Xilonen as a support, her weapon is a luxury—she functions perfectly fine with the craftable Natlan sword or even a Favonius Sword for energy generation.

Maximum Primos, Minimum Gastos: My Top-Up Secret

Okay, let’s be real. It’s December. Pasko na. You have gifts to buy for your inaanaks, food to prepare for Noche Buena, and yet... you need that C2 Xilonen or your first Varesa.

I used to be the person who would just swipe directly on the app store, eating the full price + tax. It hurt my wallet, and honestly, sayang yung potential savings. That’s when I started looking for alternatives. I scoured the internet for discounted top ups and cheap game credits, dodging sketchy sites that looked like they’d hack my account in two seconds.

That’s when I found GPDS Game Shop.

I’ve been using them for months now (since the first Natlan patch!), and here is why I vouch for them:

  1. Legitimacy: If you’re wondering, "Is GPDS Game Shop legit?"—yes, 100%. I’ve done multiple transactions for Genesis Crystals and Welkin Moons, and they always arrive instantly. No ban issues, no headaches. They use official top-up channels, just with better regional pricing.
  2. Savings: They offer discounted game credits that are significantly cheaper than the direct in-game prices. When you’re pulling for C0R1 or pushing for constellations, those savings add up to an extra ten-pull or two!
  3. Convenience: It’s super easy to transact. If you are looking for where to top up diamonds in the Philippines (or crystals for Genshin), they have the best rates and support local payment methods like GCash.

How to Top Up (Step-by-Step)

If you've never done a third-party top-up before, don't worry, it's easier than beating a Slime.

  1. Visit the Site: Go to the GPDS Game Shop Philippines website.
  2. Select Genshin Impact: Find the Genshin icon (they have Mobile Legends and others too).
  3. Enter UID: Input your User ID and Server (Asia, etc.). Note: They don't need your password! Just the UID.
  4. Choose Amount: Select the Genesis Crystal pack or Welkin Moon you want.
  5. Pay: Use GCash or your preferred local payment method.
  6. Receive: Check your in-game mail or crystal balance. It’s usually instant.

If you are hunting for cheap top ups to guarantee your Xilonen or Varesa, do yourself a favor and check out GPDS Game Shop Philippines. Stop paying full price when you don’t have to!

Conclusion: Phase 2 is Going to be Lit

Phase 2 of Version 6.2 is shaping up to be one of the best ways to end 2025. You have a fun, chaotic DPS returning in Varesa and a tier-0 support in Xilonen who fits in almost every team.

With the Moon-Prayer Night event likely kicking off soon and the Spiral Abyss favoring Plunge attacks this cycle, Varesa is going to feel incredible to play. And if you grab Xilonen, your account value just went up by 100%.

Just remember to spend wisely, plan your pulls, and maximize your budget with those cheap game credits. Good luck on your 50/50s, Travelers! May the Archons bless your pulls.
